Study visit in Norway

During April 2016, four members from Biounivers Association, had conducted a study visit in Norway. Biounivers is a non-governmental association from Romania, preoccupied by nature protection.

During this study visit, we discovered the species of fauna and flora in Jotunheimen National Park and gained knowledge about measures to take in order to ensure conservation of habitats and species in a protected area. Our study visit was intended to be part of a project for bilateral partnerships, financed by the EEA Grants, and contributed to strengthening contact and cooperation. On that matter, we had bilateral meetings with The Norwegian Biodiversity Network and The Norwegian Botanical Organization, shared information about nature protection both in Romania and Norway. In order to strengthen cooperation between our organisations, we found commun interests for future projects.

This project has been implemented with financial support of the NGO Fund in Romania, Program financed by EEA Grants and managed by Civil Society Development Foundation. The EEA Grants are jointly financed by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. The three countries contribute to the grant scheme according to their size and economic wealth.
